Overview

Eco has a community governance dApp that serves as the hub for community governance and monetary policy for the protocol. The dApp is located at governance.eco.org.

Today, the dApp looks pretty rough if you try to view it on mobile (plug the above URL into your phone and see what we mean!).

The Eco Association is interested in funding the mobile optimization of the dApp, so that the experience on mobile is as seamless as the browser experience.

Requirements

• Deliverable is a fully functional, mobile-optimized Eco Community Governance dApp
• The dApp must be connected to the ECO contracts & its codebase must be open-sourced
• Apply by creating a sample view in forking the community governance dApp and the ecomponents library — details in “How to Apply” below

Payment

This grant payment is divided into two phases:

• Winner selected → 20% of grant value paid out
• Project completion → Remaining 80% of grant value paid out

How to Apply

1. Create a sample view for us to evaluate via Pull Request

   To evaluate prospective grantees, we’re asking applicants to showcase their front-end/UI skills by submitting a Pull Request of one key view of the dApp

   Instructions: Fork the Eco community governance dApp and the ecomponents library (repos here and here), creating a PR to the main branch and a PR in the ecomponents repo. The submission should not add any other library unless absolutely needed.

   Evaluation Criteria

   • Increased user-friendliness of the dApp on mobile & responsive design adopted
   • Popular mobile and tablet sizes (iPhone, Samsung, etc) accommodated
   • Mobile website load time optimized
